How to charge a portable dvd player without a charger

i am taking a trip to California and i wanted to know how to charge my dvd player in the car without a car charger.

the only way to charge a portable device, such as your dvd player, would to have a battery charger, and as such, you might consider, instead of buying a car charger, that you may want to purchase a DC adapter which can plug into the cigarette lighter in your car, and then you may plug your regular charger into the DC adapter

You can purchase an inverter, available in the automotive department of most mass merchandisers. Inverters plug into the charging port/cigarette lighter in your vehicle, and allow you to use regular household-type plug in chargers for your gadgets.

You have two options; to purchase a universal battery charger or to purchase an inverter. The universal comes in different modes, modified even for the car. However, the best option is the inverter, because it converts your cigarette lighter slot into a regular electric panel where you can charge your phone.
