Where did the concept of God come from?

Report as

Well, it's not a "concept". God has always been around, and always will be. He's eternal, and the Creator of all things...He loves us! :)

God is definitely not a concept, He's the one who created us and gave His only son to die on a cross so that we might have eternal life. If you have anymore questions just comment me on this answer.

Hes not a concept, he is real. He created us and everything around us. He is eternal, he will never cease. The big bang theory is a concept. Let me tell you in the beginning there was nothing and nothing exploded. How does that make sense? God makes sense, for more info get a bible and read Genesis - Exodus.

God always was and will be, he's the uncreated creator the self existing one. God's not a concept he's a eternal spirit being.============ (((PSALM 90:2)))========Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou [art] God. ==========CONCEPT=======2.
an idea of something formed by mentally combining all its characteristics or particulars; a construct.
A concept, that he's not......

The concept of God came from the thoughts of humans who wanted someone to thank for their blessings and to blame for their tragedies.

JOHN 1:1-5 In the beginning the Word already existed, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He (Jesus) existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. The Word gave life to everything that was created.and His Life brought light to everyone. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never distinquish it. NLT (Bible)

Where did the concept of tree come from? From the existence of an object, or a Platonist substance that exists apart from any particular tree?
I assert the concept refers to the object-- I am an objectivist in this. or rather to the Subject-- God is rarely an object, he usually is the main subject of any verse.

God isnt a 'concept'. He IS. HE always Has Been and always Will Be. WE are His Concept. The earth and all the Universe is HIS Concept.

God is most certainly not a mere concept, He is above everything. God is real. God is the ultimate reality. He is actually holding all things in existence. If God stopped dong so, we would cease to exist, but He would continue to exist. We know God exists through revelation, which comes to us through Scripture and Sacred Tradition, and by our own intellects. Sacred Tradition includes the truths of the Catholic faith passed on by the apostles, which were not necessarily committed to writing. It is the common life, worship, and teaching of the Body of Christ, in union with the successors of the apostles, the bishops, and the successor of Peter, the pope. In the Bible, God reveals "I Am" and "I am the Alpha and the Omega", which means He is the beginning and the end of all things. God also has some harsh words for those who deny He exists: "The fool says in his heart there is no God".

Hope this helps! - ManOfKnowledge
