Why do you ask? First, if you're having suicidal thoughts, please seek immediate assistance - call a helpline or a friend - call ANYONE! DON'T DO IT! If you're concerned about a friend that committed suicide, then I'll give you a scriptural answer. No, I'm not a preacher, but have a very good knowledge of the Bible. Any answer from anyone/anywhere/anything that contradicts the Bible, should be immediately dismissed. Jesus showed us on the cross that forgiveness is available to us up to the very moment we die, IF we accept Him as Lord - the thief that was crucified next to Him, remember? Only God knows our heart, and salvation is NOT dependent on what we do, but what we believe. However, our actions are an indication of what we believe. Suicide is the ultimate statement of "no hope", and for a christian there is always hope. The short answer is "maybe". Some will tell you that suicide is the "unpardonable sin" - ask them to show you that in the Bible! They can't 'cause it ain't there. God has a way for everyone, and He sees us all the same - as sinners. Difference is, those who chose Jesus as Lord have their sins washed away in God's eyes - read ur Bible and the Holy Spirit will guide you through your search for knowledge. God bless.
In some religons such as islam or christianity it is prohibites to harm yourself unless its a justified reason. Committing suicide in religions with these beliefs would most likely send one to hell for abusing rhe body god gave them. But in all honesty no one but god knows who's hoing to heaven and hell except god so no one can say for sure.
Well know one lives to tell about it anyway but i think so. I also think that no one goes to hell. No matter what you do, god will always love you... ALWAYS. No matter how terrible it is, god will forgive you. He isnt evil enough to send you away from the place we were born to go to. In fact.. He isnt evil at all!! And i hope youre not planning on killing yourself because THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE!! And there is always people you can talk to.. Like me! Hope this helped! :)
There is absolutely no evidence of an afterlife, which makes those ideas, mythology. Every religion has its own culturally influenced version of the afterlife. Except for the memories of others of you, you just don't exist.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13. Does that sound like an exception is made for people who commit suicide? "WHOSOEVER...SHALL BE SAVED." However, suicide is the same thing as murder--it is completely WRONG.
You shouldn't commit suicide. But I don't believe in heaven or hell. I just don't believe that your 'soul' magically floats up out of your body and up to heaven or whatever. when you die, you are dead, that's it. Your brain is dead, so you can't go on living after you die. Sorry, but that's what I think.
No, you deffinetly do not go to heaven if you commit suicide. If you or someone you know is thinking of comiting suicide, think of getting proffesional help, it sounds kind of wierd to ASK for that type of thing (I know it would be hard for me to ask for help, luckily I have never thought of comiting suicide so I won't need it) but a specialist is trained to help people. If someone thinks their life is horrible now and commits suicide, they will find out pretty quick that life is a lot worse in hell.

Suicide is the result of the belief, that things will never get better. That life is so painful, there is no hope or other way to get out of the pain, except through taking your own life.
I have lived for over half of a hundred years and I have seen miracles happen giving us hope. I know a girl who was born with in-operable brain tumors, who was not supposed to live past two years old, but lived on into adulthood. She later had four children and after that, was completely cured by modern medicine. She never gave up hope that she would be healed and she was a great hope to me and everyone who knew her.
We have no idea what the future holds, or if we hold on for just a little bit longer, if things will change for the better. I have been through wars, floods, hurricanes and the death of loved ones. I have even died from anaphylactic shock twice been resuscitated and had so many surgeries, I have lost count. I am here to say, it always gets better sooner or later. Sometimes you have to wait patiently for it and sometimes you have to make the change happen, but it always gets better somewhere down the line.
This may sound like a total unrealistic answer. It is not to insult or diminish anything or anybody. This question is as old as time. Each person is entitled with freedom of religion. We will never know the true answer until we are no longer here. I have witnessed not a person who has returned and said "this is what happens" until we establish otherwise, believe as you wish or wish not. This feeling is inside us for many reasons. We will continue to debate, question, affirm or deny each other with these versions for whatever reason we think. We are entitled to that and so it shall stand until the end of time.
This may just be the ex marine in me talking but I seriously doubt there will be any soldiers that dived on top of grenades to save their buddies or their men in hell. If you do have to sacrifice your life, make it count for something that your mom, dad, and God, Corps, and your country would be proud of.
. Before I give my answer please listen to what I have to say about it! Killing yourself to me "Is a permanent solution to a temporary problem!" I believe in God and what I have been taught about Christian living is that there is only one unforgivable sin and suicide is not it.. If your life seems and feels that desperate, you really need to talk to a person who is trained in this.Think about all the blessings you have had in your life count even the smallest ones. I have had abusive relationships, lost children, most all my family, my home, everything I have owned but when I sit down and think about it the good so much more out weighs the bad. To hurt yourself leaves behind so many people left with your hurt to carry and people that you may not even know really cares. So sweetie, seek help, more then any of us can give you here, pray and live to love life and love to live life. I am so thankful I have learned that lesson before it was too late.
I just want to say that i just got back from church camp an i know for a fact that if you kill your self whether your saved, baptised or not you will still go to hell because heaven will not be an option for you so yea please dont do anything stupid
there's one real story about one boy that was dead for 45 min. and then one doctor saving him and brings him back to life. The boy says that he saw a light that always told him where to go. But actually I don't know if there's heaven or hell. So no.
