It means she needs to think about it.

Sometimes she really needs to think things over but, for the most part she like to lead you on by having you wait for an answer.

You have probably seen in the movies where a guy asks a girl out over the phone and she's free but, says, I don't know let me check my other appointments.

It means she needs to ponder on that specific issue or thought. Sometimes it takes time to make a smart decision and well she is probably thinking on what to do next

It literally means that she is unsure. Girls generally approach an invitation negatively. - "Why should I?" Men generally think "Why shouldn't I?"

There isn't a subliminal message there Hun lol. If there's a Situation, she's probably thinking the opposite you are and she needs you to think about the problem to form an agreement, apologize, or make matters better.

Hi Kevtacular,

Sometimes also 'thinking about it' can mean that a woman wants to search her intuition, her sense of how she really "feels" about something.

Or, it can mean that she is reluctant and feeling a little bit pressured... so she may want a reason to back off to a safe space and then find a safe way to say yes or no - for instance by telephone.

Good advice, as always. I've never hard problems with "I need to think about it." Maybe she does, or maybe it's a polite brush-off. In either case it's usually simple enough to work out.

Virginia, I bowed to pressure re that story you told John8715 about. I just posted it to my blog. It ends with the cleverest comment I've seen on Ask in all the time I've been here -- and that was from J.Hamilton. It's worth reading my stuff just to get down to his punch line.

I cannot find the Google/Googol question today! Could it have gotten removed, for some reason?

I couldn't find it either. You wouldn't think there'd be any reason for deleting it, unless its some kind of proprietary rivalry between Ask and Google.

It means she needs to think about it. Girls are pretty straight forward if it is a no she will say no if its a yes she will say yes.

It means she is not sure about the decision she about to make. So she has to figure out if she really want what she is about to decide.

She means exactly what she says; she needs time to think about the thing, because maybe she wants to know about the advantages and disadvantages of that thing or someone and you have to wait.
