How can I find out if any of my food is coming to me by way of China?

I don't want anything I eat to come from, or pass through, China at all.

To determine if your food originates from china in anyway, you are required to check on its ingredients and determine their main countries of origin. You can also contact the company that sells you the food to get more informed about its origin.

Me to! China is a bad lace to get your candy, food. I always look at the label to make sure

Hi Dog Mom! Wow, I don't know if you could ever know for sure. It's all so convoluted, that I'm drawing a complete blank. I hope someone answers this--I'd like to know too. And, as you know, things are often not as they seem to be.

Good evening, Ms. White! I hope you're doing well today. In an answer below, Rathkeale is on the job--she'll have the answers soon...

Don't I know that things are not as they seem to be, so much of the time!

Hi TexasMom, I'm right in the middle of collecting data on this right now. My info is coming from two sources: the health food store and a nutritionalist consultant (I just had a cancer scare, so I also want to know what foods are heavily sprayed and which are not sprayed). I'm expecting to get a full list in the next couple of days of those two conditions plus what is grown or collected in China, but packaged here for consumption with misleading labels. I also don't want genetically altered food. But I live in Canada--you live in Texas. If there is any interest, I'll provide a summary in the form of a question plus details once I've gone over the material. Some of it will be relevant to North Americans, regardless of location.

Wow, that would be great, Ms. R! (That's right, isn't it?). I am interested in all aspects of this, especially of what is packaged with misleading labels. I just don't trust China to not cut corners to make an extra buck.

I'm sorry to hear about the cancer scare, I truly hope that you are well now. :-)

T-Mom, I am just fine. I had a skin cancer tumour removed from my face and they got it all. But now I know my body can produce cancer cells. Like you, I want nothing produced or packaged in China -- nothing. We've even had recalls here of children's toys painted with lead paint in China. There is a general, quiet boycott of all things from China here. When I get my list, I will share it with you by looking up the last question you answered and putting it there. I'm looking at origins and conditions of food snubbed by the granola queens, so I expect that is what you are looking for too. I'll have it compiled in the next couple of days. I know that potatoes are highly sprayed and will get more info on that too. My name was MsTimmins, but I'm a teacher with behaviour classes at a high school. To my dismay, I found my students were using Ask. I needed to change my name to protect my privacy, so now I'm Rathkeale.

well, u can always check the label! But tell me about it! I my parents adopted a Chinese 4-year old, so I have to eat Chinese food day to night when she's around. and I hate Chinese food! so usually I just make myself something else like mac n cheese.
