Do I have the right to plug a lawn sprinkler that's on my property

The previous owners put lawn sprinkler on each others lawn. Now that they are gone minus one does not want to remove or plug the sprinkler that is on my property. The other neighbor wants us to pay half of her water bill just because she made an agreement with the previous owner. What right do i have please someone help me.

I think you should, if it's on your property and you don't want it there, you should have the right to plug it because she made an agreement with the previous owner. I'd tell her to call the previous owner to make a new agreement or just not pay because it's not your fault they were installed. Besides, maybe you don't need the water and she does. You could tell her to get a new set of sprinklers that don't take up any of your property.

Yes! It is your property. They have no legal standing. What was between them and the previous neighbors is not your responsibility!!!

Yes, you have the right to plug the lawn sprinkler on your property. You are the current owner and your neighbor made an agreement with the previous owner. This means that you are not in the agreement and you neighbor should contact the previous owner about the water bill.
