Bday party ideas for nine year olds?

my niece is having her birthday in about three weeks and she asked me to plan the party. any ideas?

A good idea would be inviting other kids of your niece age. You can also invite adults but let the kids dominate the numbers. You can prepare a birthday cake that you can share with everyone. You can also include a simple meal that you can share.

I've worked in salons, and they have packages for nails and hair styles like braiding or curling the girls hair. were boys invited? they might not go for this idea lol....
