Why does my above ground pool lose chlorine?

the water is at a good ph balance, I shocked the water last Sunday and using chlorine tablets in the filter compartment, this morning I checked the levels and the chlorine is very low... confused!!!

The heat and usage effect the chlorine levels. When it's hot and the kids are swimming, I go through chlorine like crazy.

So what would you suggest, shock it again or just add more chlorine tablets?

Can you use liquid chlorine in an above ground pool?

the hotter and more humid it is outside the more chlorine your water uses. its perfectly normal just keep adding more chlorine as u need it.

keep chlorine in the chlorine holder at all times. shock at least once or twice a week.

Could need to add some stabilizer to your pool. This helps to keep the sun from burning up all the chlorine that is added to your pool.
