Is it illegal to talk on a cell phone while driving in California, even if you use a bluetooth?

It is legal to talk on a cell phone while driving in California. However, using a Bluetooth is allowed without having both ears covered. This law is provided under the new Wireless Communications Device Law that became effective from January 1, 2009. Check out more information at dmv.ca.gov.

It depends on your age. Under 18 cannot talk at all. Over 18 it has to hands free.

Just stay off your phone while your driving, trust me when ur in the hospital its not worth it
