If I had to describe the fifth grade I would say that it is the last grade when there was child like innocence. After fifth grade people start to divide into clicks and friends that grew up often separate. Most the time it was still loads of fun, but peer pressure kicks into overdrive. You must convince yourself to stay true to who you are and what you believe or you will be swallowed up whole, chewed up, and spit out without the slightest regard. If you can push through the muck you will come out wiser and have more friends in the end.

I agree....lost years. Just pushed through school. My teacher was an ass and made me sit in the back of the room with my back to the class instead of doing his job and finding out what the real reason was for my acting up. (alcoholism at home). i was physically and phycolicicaly abused and everyone knew it and was afraid for most to do anything about it and then like you was abused by teachers and one was MS. SnodgrASS and she would beat people with whatever and also make you squat standing up with your hands and arms straight all day -- she was a big old/ ugly bulldike ..

It's different then all the other elementary school grades at least in my school because we got to switch classes not as fun as real middle school but you can make it fun
