Why are those black grasshoppers invading my yard?

aah invasion,what kind are they,they scary

Crickets? Maybe it's mating season. They're loud and annoying, I know, but unless you've got a cat or a dog that's going to roam constantly around the yard and scare them into being quiet, there's really not much you can do.
