What is formula to measure volume of cylinder?

The formula to calculate the volume of cylinder is V = ?r2h OR (pi.r2.h)
Suppose the diameter of a cylinder 25 meters and height is 100 meters.
We can calculate the vol. of cylinder but , say the cylinder is laying horizontally and we can't orient it. now if the liquid inside the cylinder is 18 meters high (keeping in mind that cylinder is laying horizontal), what is the volume of liquid?

We will take the height of the liquid as 18 meters and the radius as 12.5 meters. Since the formula to calculate the volume is V = (Pi) (h) (r) (r), we will therefore have (3.14 * 18 * 12.5 * 12.5) to get 8831.25 meters cubed as the volume of the liquid.

it is wrong , where is the height of cylinder included which is 100 meters.

Whether you keep it horizontal or vertical the 18 litres will be the same, We will take 18meters as height and radius as 25/2 so,
V= 2*pi*r*h
=2*22/7*25/2*18
=1414.28 litres i guess hope it was helpful
