How do I deal with depression?

I usually turn on the ps3 and play a few games to forget about things, but my dad took it away and I'm starting to feel real down, I can't drink either, so I've been cutting...

Take up a hobby. Seriously, it works. I cut and I haven't done that for several years. I took up crafting as a teen and stopped for a while which made it worse (ended up cutting again after a while) and then I got back to the crafts.

Maybe check out my favorite kind of craft: cross stitch. You can make gifts for people (which always makes me feel great) or just enjoy the project you finished yourself.
There's other kinds of hobbies out there so find something you really enjoy.

The key is to distract your mind from the emotional and psychological pain. That's what cutting does but it is not good for you (I'm sure you can understand why).

Don't I did stuff like that my arm looked so ugly :3 tell your dad about your problem he might give it back when he knows why you use it ^_^

If ur feeling depressed you should go see a doctor or phycologist to help, many people have depression these days I find it helps to do something ur passionate about or converting the depression into anger because anger is easier to get out. Don't be embarrassed it's a totally normal thing and nothing to be ashamed of (:

1. except things and realize someone has it worse than you
2. write down all the good/bad things on a piece of paper
3 try to stop habits
4. listen to a good song
5. get some excerscise
6. put rubber bands on arm
7. cutting is temorary, and can cause scars, which will make you feel realy insicure bout yourself in the fututure
8.cutting doesnt make your problems go away, just keep yourself occupied, mabye offer to help with some work around the house
9. the more time you spend worrying ad stressing, the less time you have to straighten things out
10. everyone has a tough time in there life
if you dont hate oldies music this song is always posotive, so is dont steel my sunshie by len, and some newer dance songs

Everyone gets depressed, but if it's serious enough for you to be cutting yourself you REALLY need to talk to someone you can trust. Also, look into some constructive hobbies and meaningful projects to take your mind off things.

I agree, it is best to see you doctor about this. When you be sure to be honest and thorough about what you have been feeling, for how long, and etc. The physician will be most helpful to you the more honest and thorough you are.

Also, I recommend that you pray, and call out to God for help in Jesus name. This is an honest recommendation from an honest person with an honest expectation that he will hear you and answer your prayer. It may not be how and when you expect it, but he will answer you, and you will know it when he does. Read the books of first second and third John in the Holy Bible. This will give you wise insight.

I will pray now that God will bless you to overcome this problem of depression.

i used to cut it only will help for a short time im still depressed but i talk to people and it helps and Ur cute why would you be depressed
