Why does the roof of your mouth burn when you get alot of water up your nose.

You may experience a burning sensation in your upper part of the mouth when water goes into your nose because they are both connected. The oral and nasal cavities both meet at the pharynx so whenever the water goes into the nose, it will always find its way into the mouth hence causing an irritation to your mouth.

Your mouth is connected to your nose somewhen it does that it means that water dripped down your throut
