If the music is clean and wholesome and there's no foul or abusive language and your conscience excuses you go for it but on the other hand if your conscience accuses you then let it be.=========If our conscience condemns us, we know that God is greater than our conscience and that he knows everything. (1 John 3:20 GNT)=================???The LORD gave us mind and conscience; we cannot hide from ourselves. (Proverbs 20:27 GNT)

Yep. Just like it's OK for secular types (like me) to listen to 'Christian' music. I don't recommend going the full Heavy Metal though - you might find some of the content offensive.
yes it's okay you can listen to anything you want do you think the clouds are going to parts and god will rain down upon you because you don't listen to secular music
You may listen but there are factors to determine, which music is appropriate. Secular music can have thoughtful insights and positive messages. To arrive at the best consider purpose of the music, style of music and lyric content. For more information, visit http://www.gotquestions.org/secular-music.html.
I would say sure. I consider myself to be a christian and I appreciate songs that are uplifting or singing about healthy, good relationships, family, funny even sometimes and such. For me, it's when I feel I have to compromise what I believe and hold as important and valuable in order to listen to a particular song or music. But, music is a wonderful thing when used well and very enjoyable for me.
YES!!! check out the bands on my profile I got Christian and secular. hope you enjoy :) peace
Is okay, just don't listen to too much music giving bad messages. For example, Lady Gaga, Rhianna, Beyonce, etc.
I'd hope so. It's hard to be "in the world but not of the world" if we don't have anything to identify with the world.
Yes. As long as it doesn't influence your relationship with the lord
There is nothing inherently wrong with any particular style of music. It is the lyrics that determine whether a song is "acceptable" for a Christian to listen to. If anything leads you to think about or get involved in something that does not glorify God, it should be avoided.
As long as it isnt advocating subjects displeasing to God like adultry, drunkeness, extramarital sex, violence to others, civil disobedience, anything illegal, etc. Our praise and worship band at my church play secular songs on occasion (several of the members are in a local rock band).
why do u need to listen to secular music? what purpose is it going to serve in your walk with God? I find secular music of today very very offensive and inappropriate. The lyrics to most songs speak very wrong messages. Some people will listen to the music still "for the beat" but the words will still get ingrained in their minds. There are soooo many christian bands and artists out there in all genres of music!!!! You just have to look!! Also remember Satan can use music as a tool for his own purposes. so watch out.:)
No. You are only to listen to church hymns, choirs & devotional music, and shout "hallelujah" in rhythmic intervals. if you listen other music, then, thou shalt be eternally damned!!
um well in the bible it says not to but I mean every now and then its ffine!!(: I listen to both!! look on my profile and see the music i dig. as long as you dont get inspired and start to worship the secular artists and there music.
You need to ask yourself first " Does this music glorify God?", if you can honestly answer yes then it is OK, if not then you have your answer; No. Remember do all things to the glory of God.
