Is there a way to make my computer faster without buying anything?

Try to delete all unneeded programs that are installed for example toolbars on browsers, boring games, and programs that don't work.

Google Chrome won't help the computer run faster. Google Chrome is just a web browser.

stay away from social sites like Facebook, defrag, goto run type msconfig and everything you don't need just uncheck, don't use a torrent site that remains active in the background, make sure to rid your machine of eco or energy saver programs, be sure machine is running as a "desktop or home computer" as any thing else will slow processor speed

Defragment your hard drive, delete any programs you don't use and get a safety system.(malware/virus scanner)
Hope this helps!

Defrag and check for viruses. If you have not done this in a while go ahead and back up your existing data, ie pictures videos etc. Then reload the Operating system (likely Windows) It takes some time but it really really will speed up your system.

-Run Disk Defragmenter once a week
-Get rid of programs that you don't use by using Add/Remove programs in Control Panel
-Use Disk Clean-up
-Download the best browser; Google Chrome
-If you have Dial-up Internet, Google Chrome will work fast, but it's better to upgrade to Wireless Internet
-Try not to open a lot of tabs. 3-5 tabs are alright in Google Chrome
-Don't be downloading more than 3 things in just Google Chrome. You need a download manager for that.

go to your address bar and type in about:config it should give you a list of all your computers programs etc.scroll down to pipeling and change it from false to true, then double click on maximum requests underneath the pipelining one. it should be set at about 4 or 6,just change it to about 10 or twelve, you should notice a difference but dont set it too high or you could mess up your computer.in other words dont set it to 30 or 40,mine works fine now.

in order for your PC to perform task faster, you could start with deleting all the files that you have installed and install back all the necessary software that you need. that would make the process on your computer faster. but it also depends on the processor of your PC.
