I've just successfully installed Mac OSX iAtkos s3 v2 on my dell n5110 i7 and nvidia. I 've installed it on an external hdd. It doesn't boot

!!! I ve tried -v, -f, graphicsenabler=no, platform=x86pc. nothing! just a black screen!!!

The external hard drive might not be a bootable option. Goto your BIOS and check the the boot options. All possible devices that can be booted will be there. If your PC is not showing it as an option, then you can not load the operating system from from that device. I would recommend getting another internal hard drive and installing it there. You could also try a dual boot option, but those are tricky for novice users.

Before the OS loads the computer itself runs some basic code to make sure it can work properly with the current hardware. Unfortunetly, most of the time this does not include support for external devices as they are not critical to the PCs function at startup. So if the computer cant access the information on the external device the OS wil not load.
