Any foods high in fiber. Prunes are the most famous for this job, yet not the most tasty. You might try their cousin, the raisin. Bit tastier, not as fast acting or overall as successful as the prune. Cereal is an awesome way to stay (gently/soft) regular. Most cereals, apart from your sugary ones, are great for fiber content these days. Apples are a good source of fiber and tasty too! If you're having a tough time with this issue, foods may not be your quickest solution. Perhaps at first try an over the counter softener at first then start the foods high in fiber. You decide what's best for the situation. Best of luck!! =)
I think you should eat foods rich in fiber which include fruits and vegetables. Fruits that have high fiber content include oranges, apples, pears and berries. Water is also effective in softening bowel movements and one should drink it in plenty. Read more: http://ibs.about.com/od/constipation/a/eatforconstipation.htm.
