How do I transfer my pictures from my Verizon LG Extravert to my computer?

I have a Verizon LG Extravert. My camera memory on the phone is full and I want to transfer my pictures onto my computer. Sounds simple enough... No. I plugged in the included USB cord to my phone and computer and opened the phone file. I couldn't find any picture/ video files. And the phone keeps disconnecting itself from the computer. It says it's connected, and it's still completely plugged in, but the computer stops recognizing the device. I've tried this on all 3 of the USB ports on my computer. It will not stay connected. Hoping to find the solution, I went to the Verizon website and found instructions on how to transfer pictures. The instructions were no help at all. What can I do?

Buy a micro SD card with an adapter. Then you can put the SD card in your phone and load on the pictures. The adapter should fit into a slot in your computer

You can use Bluetooth to transfer the files from your Verizon LG Extravert to your computer. Just activate Bluetooth on your phone and the computer, pair them and then transfer the files. You can also transfer the files using the memory card in your phone, save all the files you want to transfer in the memory card, put the memory card in the computer and transfer the files.

Plug the phone into the computer with the USB cable.
On the "Tools" menu of your phone, select "USB Mass Storage"
Your phone will now show up as a flash device on your computer where you can move files in and out using drag and drop or copy and paste.
Your phone will also show up in "Windows Media Player" as a sync device.
