Cross country is long distance so you need endurance and track is quick spurts of sprinting. I would love to do track but it conflicts with my other sport, but i think cross country would be a better workout in the long run (no pun intended :P).

I think cross country because when I did that I lost about 16 pounds in the first couple weeks. It really depends on your coach though:)

In my opinion, a cross country has a better workout than a track. Cross country tend to cover a larger area that can help you to work out more and stretch your muscles as you push yourself to reach the finish line.
