Only if you think it would. You can talk about your problems with a therapist, but he/she can't really do anything about it. They can give you advice, but at the end of the day it's you that makes the actual decisions. It usually just depends on what it is. If you can get through it yourself or are not good with talking about your feelings, don't waste your money. or if you think it would help, go for it. It helps some people, but not all.
Therapy is a great idea. It feels a lot easier to get your feelings out to a stranger than to someone you're close to. A therapist would just try to reach the core of what's going on in your mind, and would never judge you or use it against you.
