Having sharp, stabbing pain in my upper left arm. Feels as if it's in my tricep (deep behind my arm).

Need help I am a 17 year old male i am athletic and play hockey. The pain is coming from deep behind my upper left arm it feels as if it's deep in my tricep or somewhere else. The pain is a sharp and stabbing sensation it will literally come out of nowhere. The pain is not set off by any movements in a certain way but it just comes out of nowhere with no warning and the pain is very painful. I'm thinking it might be related to maybe an accident that occured to me while tubing, the boat was pulling the tube at maybe 35 mph and when i had feel off of it my head hit the water first which cause it to stretch back more than it should so I don't know if that could be causing my arm pains.

The pain could be as a result of the accident you had back then as it could have caused an internal injury. It would be a good idea to go see a doctor as soon as possible so as to know the exact cause. I am sorry for the pain and make sure you get medical attention soon.

Because it's your left arm, get to a doctor or go to the ER right away. It isn't likely, because of your age, but it is possible that it's cardiac. Good luck.
