HP is among one of the best computer brands in my opinion. This computer brand is especially good for word processing, email, web browsing, video and photo editing among other uses. Bought an HP laptop for Xmas, last year, 3 months later screen went, white flashes like loose wire. HP said while its under warranty the screen is not. Paid 350 new for laptop, they wanted 349 for new LCD screen. Got one off eBay and replaced it myself then hard drive crashed all this happened in less than a year and HP had one excuse after another to not fix it. Nowhere in any documents that came with it did HP mention limitations to warranty. Also bought another HP 17" laptop few weeks after buying the orher one and had same issues with screen and same
problems with getting it fixed, have an acer which is made by same company as gateway and emachines and my repair guy swears by acer. HP can suck my &/?@! never again
