How do you solve this inequality? 4(2y-1)>12

Report as

The solution is y>2. This is gotten from simplifying the equation. The first step is to divide both sides by 4 to arrive at (2y-1)>3. Next, add 1 to both sides thereby getting 2y>4. Dividing both sides by 2 gives y>2.

Thanks. That's what I got,but my steps were different. Do you know how to write y>2 as a interval notation?
