depens on what kind u read...u should try reading the king james version. in life nobody lives forever, there comes a time when we die, after the person dies he/she either goes to hell or heaven! the bible is the main manual e on how to get to heaven!
I dont think so.i go to church and dont read it lol.when your interested then one day you will.however please dont let " haters" with sad lifes corrupt your mind .there is a god .and you can believe that.
It's not a bad thing you've never read the bible although I'm sure you have come across scriptures everyday but you just don't know it. Technology is so advance now scripture is on Television, IPads, Ipods, Kindle, in books, movies and so on. Even with scary movies about demons. Demons originated from the bible. No one should judge you for not have read the bible. There is no better way to start reading then now. Proverbs would be a great Book to start with a chapter a day. To understand the beginning of Knowledge and God's Wisdom. Don't feel bad about not having read the bible. I'm sure dozens of people haven't read the bible. Be Bless!
No you do not need to read the bible to be a good person or that it will teach you morales. Look at how many priests have molested little boys. Your parents should teach you morales and being good to others gives you a good feeling on the inside that you did something nice for someone without being asked. Even if it's just holding the door open for someone. It's still a nice jester.
When I was a brand new Christian, I was 48 years old ( & had never read the bible). But I started taking different classes at church, and I liked them allot!! Gradually, I started joining different Bible Study Groups. The first one was " The Book of Daniel: with a Beth Moore DVD. it was AWESOME, AMAZING and I couldn't wait to do my homework. When you are studying God's Word; it's like a treasure hunt!! It's really exciting too;) "Ester" would be good for you probably!! I am now 52 years old, I use The Bible for wisdom and knowledge. God has a plan for each and everyone of us. You may want to buy " The Story Bible". It's written as God's story to us. They have taken the chapter & verses out. So, if you want to read it page for page, you might like that. It's written chronologically. If u have any questions, I'd be more than happy to guide you!!
I recommend reading it. Without knowledge of the bible and religion you will not be able to answer that category on jeopardy. It could be the difference between winning and losing. I am currently non-religious but have a great knowledge of the bible from the 18 years of it being drilled into my head and am glad I have that knowledge. Easier to argue when the people knock on your door. I suggest reading it. It's actually a good book.
No, it's a good thing to avoid the bible you do not want to corrupt your mind. It is all false info anyways. No, I actually think its better not to believe in something that was made years ago. It's better to keep an open mind and not let religion limit you.The bible is out dated. The bible was written by men not by god.You don't have to read the bible if your not christian.
