Do guys like it when we call them endearing nick names like babe, sweetheart and etc...... in public ?

Sure. When my girl calls me darlin', or when she has told someone else I'm her sweetie, it sure does make me feel quite good.

It depends on the guy. Most guys shouldn't mind, but some if the "bad" guys will get mad.

Generic endearments are mostly used when addressing people whose name you don't remember or don't know but want to be especially friendly with. However, if God blessed you with a bad memory, go right ahead and use "sweetheart" but if I were you, I'd practice saying his name.
