What is the best thing to drink after a workout other than water?

Drink some whey protein with powerade. This will help you replenish you with electrolytes and protein to support your muscles post workout.
Milk or whey protein shake or mix them both
Water or coconut water( very high in electrolytes)and it tastes great.
