Where do I find out what baseband my iPhone4 has? And if I restore it will it delete all my apps, songs, pictures, contacts and everything?

I'm thinking of jailbreaking it. but I heard if you don't like the jailbreak you can just restore it. so would it delete everything? and is it only worth jailbreaking if you use the paid apps?

Restoring an iphone deletes everything. But if u back up your iphone by syncing it with itunes u can save all your stuff and restore your phone if needed. then just put everything back on your phone by syncing it again. Your baseband is also known as the modem firmware. Which can be found in: general>about and then scroll till you see modem firmware and it will have numbers to the right of it.
