Should i buy a new one or should i send it off and see if they will fix it?

i dropped my iPod in the water the i tried to fix it by popping the screen off a little well i ended up popping it the way off should i buy a new on send it to apple and see if they will fix it for me(i was trying to fix it cause i didnt want my mom to find out.....i wish i didnt do that)

If the iPod is an old gen iPod i'd buy a new one since you've popped the screen of, but if its up to date i'd send it to apple and see what they can do first. If they can't fix it buy a new one.
