How is a way to ask a person to swim with you at a beach party without it being like weird?

still that same beach party i wanna ask my crush to swim with me but i dont want it being awkward or weird (im a a nerdy swag chick and my crush is just swag so a good way)

Have a convo with them and say I was about to go for a swim and i I was wondering if you wanted to join me.

sounds pretty swaggy to me - i wouldnt do it in a open body of water

In my opinion, you can first talk to the person then know if they like to swim and you can suggest some sought of competition between the two of you. It will be fun and it will not look or sound weird.

have fun with the awkwardness. get in touch with your inner awkwardness. say, "I swim, you swim, we swim. I was thinking we could get together & be a swim team"
