Super nova remnants,a gas cloud condensed from gravity and a disc formed around a star being born.We were lucky enough to be in the " Goldie Lock Zone" for life to form....but the moon plays a big part in it too, without it we wouldn't be here either.

There was some Quantum Mechanics scientist on the boob tube the other day and he said that EVERYTHING came from NOTHING, so I sat there and shook my head :)

Isn't that what religion believes too, where did God get the ingredients for everything....from " nothing".
Report as
Yup, and neither of them make sense, BUT, God is supposed to be a faith based thing. Science and math are supposed to be able to prove their claims, and from everything I have ever heard in my life, you can't get something from nothing, so the Quantum claim makes less sense to me when compared to a mythical story of faith based claims.

Proving science right is harder than it sounds, there is always new theories popping up and old theories being proved wrong. It's never ending finding the truth of " things".....but they are doing something and not taking the easy way out and just saying God did it.I personally believe in the Big Crunch and Bounce, where the universe collapse in on it self and bounce back due to molecules being repelled at the singularity stage.

EPIC explanation lad ...

I think scientists just like to hear themselves talk and they create answers to problems that don't exist. Do you think there might be a reason as to why scientists across the world still only have theories about a lot of stuff? One of them has a theory, and then another one has a different theory and so on and so forth. They don't work on how to prove things, they just sit around and theorize, and then wait for someone else to come up with a different theory :) What was the last thing that science acually proved?
Report as
I think it might have been molecules :)
Report as
Science and especially math can prove a lot. It's harder to come up with answers to Astrophysics when we are down here.We have probes and advancements in technology that help them, but we are still down on Earth. We can only theorize what and slowly come up with answers, the" creation and evolution" question will never be answered to its correctness and likeness for anyone.
Report as
It sure as hell makes for a good debate issue :) All I know for sure is that I'm here now, and one day I'm gonna die. I don't even really know what the point of knowing how everything started is even important. What exactly do they expect to accomplish from proving how things started?
Report as
I really don't see any point myself,we have technology advancements and we are still at a standstill. We should be figuring out how to physically explore space instead of talking about the past.Man is meant to explore since we took our first steps. My own answer to the " creation" question is....whatever makes you feel good! Now let's explore!
Report as
I'm still dumbfounded at the fact that we have been to space, but exploring the ocean floors is still such an impossible feat!! I mean who knows what's down there??? And let's be honest here, living anywhere in the universe other than Earth is really just a pipe-dream. Like you said in your answer, we are in the "Goldie Lock Zone" here where we are just lucky enough to have sprouted. All other places are just way too torrential for us to overcome and make a feasible living environment.
Report as
There could be other factors too: the size of the planet, what can those life forms tolerate, what kind of gases can they breath. Our Goldie Lock Zone can differ from other life forms, ours just suits us and our gases and our planet( size wise is a big factor).
Report as
Yeah, you're talkin about going to other solar systems right? I hear that. But in our solar system this is the only liveable planet without having to fight against horrible extremes. Have we even sent any satellites out to try and breach the edge of our system yet?
Report as
The Voyagers surpassed that realm. The Pioneers are beyond... beyond. That's just a stones throw compared to the vastness of the universe. We just happen to be born in the very beginning of space exploration,we will miss everything just like generations and generations will miss out as well.In due time man will be "Star Trek-ing",if we are lucky Star War-ing".Man, the dark side got some cool equipment!!!
Report as
I'll take a Deathstar please :) The most crazy part about space exploration is that we are trying to do it all from a "fixed point" and the directions to travel twoards are friggin INFINITE!!!! I mean, talk about flying blind. We could launch a space craft every second of every hour of everyday and not even make a dent in getting to grasp what's out there. No matter what you think or believe in, one thing is for sure, space is a friggin crazy-ass place to try and comprehend :)

There is a lot of great science information out there in book and DVD form. Google it! And look up 'The Teaching Company'.

Nobody really knows, they are only guessing, their is no true fact that can be proven when the earth began just theories ( cant be 100% proven but an educated guess)

It is a guess....but you can't deny that we have pictures( thanks to the Hubble) of other solar systems being made before our eyes, nature at work!

You can argue the how and when of the creation, but it's the "what" are you going to do now that's the important question to answer.

God created everything. The earth, the universe and so on. Science can prove this. Read the Bible and you will know more.
