Skyrim Has Stopped Working After 300+ Hours of Gameplay?
I haven't played in maybe 3 days, and before I took that break the game worked fine. I got a few crashes to desktop with no error message, but heard the new patch might have been the problem. Today I tried playing it (on PC) and it gave me the normal options of "Play", "Data Files", etc. I clicked play and nothing. No drums, no music, no Bethesda logo, and no options to actual play the game. Just a long black screen until I finally had no choice but to exit via task manager. Any suggestions? I have quite a few mods, but none have ever caused issues or conflicts. I tried verifying the game cache through steam twice, to no success. I'd rather not reinstall, but will if needed. Thanks, in advanced. ^^
TL;DR: Skyrim won't load, it's just a black screen where the Bethesda logo should appear and the music should start.
