If I update my iOS, will I lose all my apps and pictures, notes etc?

and also, how do I update it? I have an apple iPad 2 running iOS 4.3.3. thanks a bunch!

You'll have to update to the latest iOS software by using the computer. After that you'll be able to update without the computer because iOS 5 brought the iCloud sync and update feature.

It seems that when everyone updates to iOS 5 (or now iOS 5.1.1) everything gets wiped BUT you can restore from a backup. So, always back up your iPad first before updating. At this time you have to do it with the computer but after you update you can backup to iCloud.
