Why do people in Canada hunt seals? Why do they kill the cute seals for no reason other than sport?

Well, theres ton of seals, its not like they're endangered. And their hide's good for clothes, and I bet they're pretty tasty when your freezing in the Canadian bush.

You know, I lived in Canada, and ive never heard of anyone hunting a seal, legally.

To answer your question, I'm from Canada and we do not hunt seals the only people that hunt seals are Eskimos and they hunt them for food and skins for clothing,maybe you should study world cultures a little harder :)

I'm in the US but all I can say is as far as I know they hunt seal, which are not endangered. They hunt like people hunt in the US. Good hunters use the meat and hyde . I'm sure Canada has irresponsible hunters (like everywhere) but I believe most are not like that.

It's a sport, like deer, moose, or bear hunting is here. They respect their kill and use the meat and fat.

You really are Incedibella, what town or city do you know that has seals,do you even know what a seal is?Seals exist up north near Alaska not in your hometown not in my hometown they live in cold water. What do they teach in school these days?
