Should I take a gift to my good neighbors on the birth of their first child?

Report as

You'd be crazy not to. Kidding....it's fun buying baby stuff. Don't hold back either. Babies grow so fast and mom&dad are so excited (maybe a tad nervous too). If u can't purchase or get to a baby store, another idea is to make them a home cooked meal. Maybe ur favorite cassarole or potroast anything to help make their new adjustment a little easier. Have Fun ;)

Does that mean you like it? lol. A lot of people have been saying "Green"....
Report as
That means thumbs up! The button is green so it is a lot faster to say green than thumbs up!:)
Report as
Not really...It takes like 1 second to push the thumb, It take like exactly 4 seconds to type "green" And then another 2 or so to push submit. haha, i sounded like a nerddddd:D
Report as
Yeah but, it is easier too just type green than thumbs up! And you do not sound like a nerd! And when are nerds a bad thing!:)

Yes! They are your friend and neighbor! It would be rude to not to! Some neighbors hang on that stuff! Hope this helps!:)

Rude is expecting a gift. If you are obligated to give something, then it isn't a gift to begin with.
Report as
No it is not! Thay said that thay are good neighbors! I made that mistake once not to give! They still do not talk to me! BTW Always give a gift if you can!:) It is being nice to give gifts!:)

Good neighbor, first child = gift, recognition.

Being nice is not a thing. So i

The fact that they don't talk to you doesn't mean you were rude. It means they are.

Ooops...(too soon). This is a perfect example of the classic, "it's the thought that counts" (literally). Sincerity is primarily, no its really the ONLY component that's a must.

If you feel inclined to do it, then buy a gift. It would not be inappropriate. If you don't feel inclined, don't. However, contrary to the post above, it is NOT rude if you don't buy a gift. Expecting a gift is rude. If you are obligated, then it is not a gift.
