I'd choose real estate, but thats just me

I would go with real estate too, but it depends on how good you can sell houses well or not. :-)

I would suggest that you choose the one, which you can handle best. Consider the academic qualifications you had and the possible openings available for you to get a chance to be in.

I would choose real estate. Greater potential. Now is a good time to learn, with the market down. Learn while it's slow. Get some experience. Then when the economy improves, you will have the confidence to succeed. Good luck.

Great advice thanks. I just love the residual income that insurance offers, whereas in real estate if you don't sell you don't make money. That's my dilemma.

Many start out in real estate as a second source of income. You could do insurance for a steady income and benefits, with real estate as a secondary.
