Skyrim is an amazing first person RPG. You get to customize your character. You can be one of several races. You can be male or female. You can pick your hair color and all aspects of your characters looks. You're a dragonbourne, which means you are one of only a few people who can slay dragons. It's an open game. The map is huge. You can directly follow the main mission, or as you work on that, you find smaller missions from people you interact with. Heck you don't even have to do any missions, just walk around a kill stuff. You pick plants, collect bugs, find ingredients and become a mage. You can learn to enchant your weapons and armor. You can buy houses and invest in shops. You can become a werewolf, and with the Dawnguard expansion you can become a vampire. The game is amazing. I would highly suggest it! :)
It is not downloadable. You have to buy it as a disc for Xbox360, PS3, or PC. However, there is an upcoming downloadable add-on called Skyrim Dawngaurd. Or you can wait until 2013 for Elder Scrolls Online, which is the same thing, except a much bigger map, a longer storyline, many more monsters, and it's an online mmorpg.
