You should only use gel after the heat from the burn is gone. Otherwise it can trap the heat making the burn worse. Run cool water over the burn(shower) or apply vinegar. You should be ok to apply the aloe vera gel tomorrow to help the burn heal.
If you burn once in a while, I would apply either aloe or gold bond concentrated therapy. Then at night wet a sheet ( it doesn't have be dripping wet but a little more than damp) fold it in half, lay on it (sunburn naked) and then fold the other half over top your sunburn and sleep like that. I tried it once for my oldest and now every time he burns he asks for that treatment. Now if you burn constantly you should be able to go to the doctor and get a cream called silver cream. If you can get it then just apply that and do the over night "wet wrap". I hope this helps.
Official: Leave it uncovered and apply something cold like a damp wash cloth Non-official: Aloe vera, baking soda+ water, cool shower, icepack aloe afterburn, or go see a dr. I went to the dr. with a 2 degree burn that made it so I almost cried just getting dressed, and the doctor gave me a prescription lotion that worked miracles!!!! It healed almost completely in just 5 days. It's called Silver Sulfadiazine Cream USP. It is not over the counter, so just going to a pharmacy and requesting it does not work. I hope this REALLY REALLY helps!!!
I suggest you take a cold bath, not a show, because you don't want to put to much pressure on it. You probably should air it out, and buy some medicine/cream for it at really any store. To cool it down, put some aloe vera or soothing lotion on it to flare it down. Then, just wait and stay out of the sun! Eventually, your sunburn will vanish!
put sunburn lotion on it and it will either peel or just disappear. you are welcome for answering your question. i also say if that dosen`t work you should break a stalk off of an aloe plant and rub the juice in it. you should also take a cold bath not a shower because you don`t want to much pressure.
DO NOT TAKE A HOT SHOWER...unless you are a massachist..... The best thing is to dab the sun burn (or any type of burn) with ORGANIC apple cider vinegar.(Or poor it on) Make sure it`s organic...it should look cloudy..that`s the Vinegar Mother and the miracle healer.....it helps internally and externally for many ailments This will help the sting and balance the PH of the skin. You can try Aloe Vera in the purest form you can find it...fresh leaves are best but try it on a small spot first to make sure it doesn`t burn...some peops. are sensitive to it..like me. Try a cool bath..that helps too.... Sleeping in wet sheets is more comfortable than dry ones....
After you wash in warm water, Cut some pieces of cucumber and place it on your sunburn, Then keep it on for ten minutes, After ten minutes is over, take it off, Then put some aloe gel on it and sleep :)
When I have a sun burn I sit my face in cold milk for about at least 5 minutes.. Then I put on vaseline or aquaphor. Sometimes I use aloe soothing lotion or anything like that.. I suggest not to take a hot bath especially when you just came out from the sun or when you are feeling warm or hot.. When i did these things my sun burn got away in a couple or 1 days later.. Sometimes it takes even longer to heal. Btw, dont forget to put sun screen!
Take a warm bath, put cucumber slices on the sunburnt area, keep the cucumber on for about ten minutes (I read or play my handheld video games in the meantime), after ten minutes take the cucumber off and add some aloe gel to the sunburnt area and wait... The sunburn is treated!
First get a bowl of milk and a wash rag lay the rag into the milk then hold it on, wait a minute then do it again until it soaks up all the milk or it drains down you body. Then wait 30 mins and take a cold shower. Then wait a while them you can rub aloe on your sunburn wait a couple of days and it should go away!
i have sun burn at the moment and i took a cold shower and i used a wet cloth and dabbed the areas that were really sencitive like my face and now im peeling like crazy and if you have it on your face stay home my face started peeling and it looks blochie and really bad so i havnt gone out also when your body peels use a aprocot rub and it will remove it 2-4 times a day for 2 days it works
1st, take a soothing BATH 2nd, Rub on some aloe vera cream 3rd, cover it up! (worst thing for a sunburn is to get another one!) 4th apply aloe vera cream whenever you feel its needed like when it hurts to move 5th, don't do too many active activity's for at least 2 day's after you get burnt
The best way to get rid of sunburn is taking a warm shower or bath. After your in the shower gradually get the shower warmer and warmer (to where it gets hot). The reason you do this is because you want to take the burn out not trap it inside your skin. Dont use aloe vera gel or anything. Your pulling the burn out. You dont want to keep it in. I hope this is useful :)
Take a cool shower. DO NOT get a hot or warm bath or shower. WHATEVER YOU DO IT WILL BURN U IF U TAKE A HOT OR WARM BATH OR SHOWER. It wont feel good!!! AT ALL. Try putting after sun on. It TOTALLY works.
I use cooling releif gel made with aloe, and also put an ice pack on the burn. Also usually, I take a cold cold shower or bath and lay in the fake silk or silk PJS. No hard rough material like from a T-shirt. :)

cool shower and Lots of Aloe Vera and Lavender oil and wear a loose cotton pjs the same material as a dress shirt, or if you have an old dress shirt or buy an over size one like a man's shirt as pjs.... and one more thing, it time. Hope this helps ya, if not, try noxema
What I do for me and my family: Take a cool bath and add a small bottle of vinegar to the water. NO SOAP. Just relax. Take NOXZEMA and cover all the sunburnt areas and then put on an old soft T-shirt. Be sure to drink lots of water.
Egg whites. Separate them from the yolks, whisk them and apply to burned skin (I use a folded paper towel). Reapply until the skin is a normal temperature to the touch. Rinse with cool water, then apply aloe, or aloe based product. Sounds gross, but it will draw out the heat.
use some aloe. its a big green leaf of a plant that has thorns on the side. break a piece of the leaf off and rub the sap that leaks out on the sunburn. i've been using that technique for years and it is guaranteed to work. with no symptoms or side effects. it also has a nice feel to it. there is a down side though it smells. good luck. ;)
What I did was simple and my sunburn cleared up in two days. So heres what you need: 1.Patience, even though it clears up in about two days you need to wait and not get flustered over it 2. Aloe Vera cream, you can get it almost anywhere. and you dont need to spend afourtune on it. So yup! Thats it! Here are the steps: In the morning take a cold shower, it doesnt have to be freezing cold, just relaxing on the sunburened area. Dont dry off the sunburn though. Apply the aloe vera After maybe every 10-15 minutes apply the aloe vera cream again REMINDERS: dont rub anything on the affected area Stay away from leather clothing
If you want it to go away over night apply SanaraP cream to the sunburn. It will suck out most of the pain and the redness. Remember it doesnt matter how old you are to know how to heal. Tae my point...I' m just a child!
A milk bath is actually one of the best ways to take care of a sun burn, but we have a lotion we got through Avon that has milk, aloe and cucumber extract in it and it worked the best and really fast on my 10 year old daughters sunburn, way better than just the aloe. First we did a coolish shower which took some of the heat out of her skin, then we warmed up the lotion to make it absorb faster and applied it to her still warm skin, within a couple hours the heat was gone from her skin and the color was beginning to turn brown... BEST THING TO DO DO OVER ALL IS DON'T GET BURNED, SUNSCREEN IS A MUST AND REAPPLY OFTEN...
as stupid as this is going to sound, rub tooth paste on ur sun burn area. it also treats regular burns. but whatever you do, do not put tooth paste on ur sun burn area, cover it with a paper towel or toilet paper, and sleep on it. when you wake up the tooth paste would be dry and you would have to rip it off your skin. i learned tht the hard way. :(
The best way to do it is take a potato and slice it up and put it on the sunburn the juice will suck up the heat and keep it from peeling and It will help I do it often and after that you can put aloe vera it works good too
