What is the meaning of conservative and liberal ?

Explore the meaning of conservative and liberal by exploring the Web and identifying sites that are conservative and liberal in nature. Also look at extremely biased sites and discuss with them how many people subscribe to such views--is there a majority of either end of the ideological spectrum or are most of us in the middle? What do the results of this discussion mean particularly in regard to the media, elections, and other polarizing events?

A person can be liberal or conservative in respect to fiscal (money matters) and to social issues. Fiscal conservatives are careful to spend money in a prudent manner and to keep their debt spending in control. Liberals are less inclined to be concerned with debt and will spend beyond their ability to repay the debt for the perceived good of their fellow man.Socially conservatives will be pro life on the abortion issue and though they will respect same sex unions they do not accept marriage for same sex couples.
Liberals will be pro choice on abortion and approving of same sex marriage.
It is not always that clear cut and these are just a few issues of many where liberals and conservatives have polar opposite opinions. More often than not children follow their parents point of view B U T , not always. Watch MSNBC for a while and then watch Fox News for a while and you will start to see liberal and conservative philosophies on display.
MSNBC -liberal. And Fox News- conservative . the fore mentioned is largely my opinion about the subject. I tried my best to not reveal my strong leaning.

Simply..liberals allow everything, conservatives don't :)
Time for you to do your own homework child..:)

uh, liberals dont allow everything. they want to illegalize citizen gun ownership, and hunting which are very important

I spent 4 years in college learning the answers to that question, and then 5 years teaching it as a substitute highschool teacher, and now you want me to give you the answers for free? hahahaha!!!!

They say most people are liberals when they are young. They dream of a world where everything is fair and equal and all needs are taken care of by a loving government. Then the grow up, get a job, have a family and pay taxes and become very conservative after life and reality hits them in the pocket book. I can attest to this as I once was very liberal and was blinded to the fact that government is evil yet necessary and can not possibly know what is right for my life or yours. Good government is government that governs the least. That is how a conservative thinks.
