Silly ques but...?

how do people feed their canaries when they go out of town but the birds stay behind? is there a self feeding bird feeder that is available to use? if so please answer quickly. thanks

How long out of town? I always give my neighbor a key to check on the bird, bring in mail and newspaper and turn lights off and on.

Bird sitter. Get someone to come feed it or take it to their house to stay.

My friend went out of town for a couple weeks and got me to take care of her parrot. Just give a close friend your key and they can check on your canary everyday.

The people probably leave a ton of food in the cage for the birds or have someone reliable come and feed the birds.

I have birds also. When we're gone for more than a week, we put 1 extra food bowl and 1 extra water bowl in each of their cages. Fill them up as much as possible!!! Or just have someone check in on them :)
