When you are exercising, you breathe through your mouth, and the air that hits your lungs is colder and drier. The contrast between the warm air in the lungs and the cold inhaled air or the dry inhaled air and moist air in the lungs, can trigger an attack. It;s called EIA- Exercise induced asthma, & 1 of my boys has it, it is supposed to lessen or disappear as you get older. For now he has an inhaler just in case if while running he has an attack, he takes a squirt. Go see your MD & see if they'll help you out
Actually,It does effect your running, from what you do everyday there is alot of thing that do effect your asthma but its ok as long as you take your inhaler. how asthma effect your running is shortness in breath.when you run for a long while your heart beat gets higher ,which for some people their breath starts to shorten .hope this helps;)
I was told I had asthma when I was 35. I used Advair, & also used Combivent 4 a rescue inhaler. My son also was diagnosed w/ it when he was 6 months old. Now he is 11 I let him rip & run & play sports he has outgrown it. I don't use my inhalers anymore either. :) they say if u get a chichauaha dog it takes the asthma. away. I know this 2 b a fact it helped my cuz & my son & I. Good luck hope this helps.
