HI! No, I don't think it's degrading at all for men or women. I happen to like to human body. It doesn't have to be Christy Brinkley, Janet Jackson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or Muhammad Ali, Bruce Lee, or Connie Chung. If you were blessed with a smile, you have nothing to fear or dislike. Have a nice night!
Your question reminded me of Tony Soprano wanting to see his Russian girlfriend in one of those sexy outfits that Dr Melfi wore. I think I can understand where his desire was coming from. So yes in that sense I guess wearing a suit can be "degrading". On a serious note, I remember when I was a kid and seeing all the "suits" walking around in downtown San Francisco. When I was a bus driver working for a certain outfit prior to 9-11 there used to be a lot of "suits" that rode the busses. Their absense sometimes makes me feel sad or nostalgic. Especially when I walk around in downtown San Francisco and there are hardly any "suits" left. I suppose I can consider myself blessed for being in lines of work that never required a suit. I can see them as restricting not necessarily degrading.
