Can my boss constantly email me about blood test results while I'm out sick

she did not bother other staff or imply they were "faking it" when before I got sick, one staff member was out for almost 2 weeks. since I have been out she has been emailing me about blood test results and get irritated when more are being run. She also demanded I get a doc note for being out (which she did not do for other staff, just me) She was being very nosy and coming across nasty. demanding when i come back, i HAVE to cover other ppl since I was out sick. I have a doc note excusing me for 3 weeks b/c of MONO and she proceeded to check up on me, by checking out my side business page, to making sure I wasn't working there, but not for her. (even tho my note excuses me)
She even TOLD me she checked out my page, and tried to make it sound like "oh I was was making sure you were resting cause I know you always push yourself" what gives? This doesn't explain it well, but bottom line, I feel harassed, stalked, and just singled out by her. I feel as if I should be permitted to me out sick with out getting emailed daily, and texted about things that have nothing to do with her or my job there.
What are my rights here?

Document her calls, texts and emails. She should be reported to her bosses and the human resources department at your employers. You are excused from working. She has no right to your medical records. I would not talk to anyone about your medical leave except for the appropriate individual in the human resources department. Your boss is really crossing the line, really many lines.

Thanks, but this is a small preschool. privately owned. there is no HR dept. I do how ever have all her emails and texts saved. even the emaisl she send out to all the employees praising them for covering me and canceling their plans to cover me (in am attempt to make me feel bad about being sick)

I am so distraught by this, I was thinking about quitting. I feel uncomfortable even going back, if that makes sense... by law, is that a reasonable issue to quite a job over?

No, your boss is not supposed to do that. Talk to your HR department if the issue is effecting you largely :)

Unfortunately this is a very small school/preschool. privately owned. so the boss is the owner and there is no HR Dept =(

I honestly don't even want to go back b/c of all this... I feel so awful and she was actually trying to make me feel bad about being out. sending out mass emails to all the employees, commending them and thanks them for covering me and canceling personal plans to cover me.... thats messed up right

Wow that is really messed up, what is your boss's problem?...

Honestly, she tries to be her employees friend. She goes out with some of them on weekends. I never got involved like that, b/c thats a line I wont cross. I've had personal conversations with her, about the boyfriend and other misc things, and I think/see now, she gets on that level with people that work for her...so she CAN justify asking questions in a situation like this....

she probably can without getting into much trouble. Should she? No. Feel better!

a employer can't harass you your personal life is just that personal they can make you have a doctors excuse to come back the onley medical record they have any business seeing is a good drug screen if you are subject to drug screenings

Thanks, I work in a preschool, so in having an infectious disease such as Mono, I believe it is state law that parents need to be informed. So I don't mind that. Even before we thought it was something like that, she was trying to tell me I had to tell her my results. I just ignored that ;part of her email and said I'd let her know if it was anything the school needed to be concerned about.
As I said above, I am so frustrated by this, and even hurt. I always went out of my way to cover other ppl here (Including the boss/owner) and this is the treatment I get when I am seriously sick?

I wouldn't quit that might be what she wants you to do.they might have a rite to know the reason you left the school but your medical records are no ones business but yours

I get the feeling that is what she wants me to do. If I go back, and feel as if I am be treated unfairly (because I see that happening)
whats the next move?
