What are some things to get for a big lake?

Like toys and activities for teenage boys. besides skiing wakeboarding jet skiing and boating.

There are some low priced kayaks out there for under $200 each. They are good for paddling up and down the shoreline - not so much if you get out in the open and start to get tossed around by the ski boats and jet skis.

Get a couple of floating inner tubes and some styrofoam water noodles and have the boys joust with the noodles.

Even if your boys can swim, make sure they wear life vests whenever they are in the water. Even the smallest of currents can exhaust you when swimming.

If you are talking about going to the lake for a day of leisure, you could get some board games to play like chess, monopoly or scrabble. You can also get a soccer ball and have a team on team match for the boys. If they are not very big boys, you can get a Frisbee, which they can use to play and run around with.
