What's the difference between red bell peppers and green bell peppers? and also yellow.

Report as

They are all sweet peppers but the green is the "least" sweet, than the red and the yellow is the sweetest. Try each sometime and see what you think. My family all have differing opinions as it is all a matter of taste! Lol!

They're all pretty similar, the only real difference is in color and sweetness. Green is least sweet, then red and yellow is sweetest.

Compared to green peppers, red peppers have more vitamins and nutrients and contain the antioxidant lycopene. The level of carotene, like lycopene, is nine times higher in red peppers. Red peppers have twice the vitamin C content of green peppers. Also, one large red bell pepper contains 209 mg of vitamin C, which is almost three times the 70 mg of an average orange.
