Don't see why not. Just because one is proficient in mixed martial arts, doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't intelligent. Or that someone who is interested in science, doesn't like to let off a little bit of steam every now and again.

They totally can. UFC fighters are not dumb at all. They just happen to have a passion for fighting but most of them are pretty smart. You would be surprised if you know that some have academic qualifications.
