Can you use a 50 dollar bill that's been ripped in half?

I ripped it pulling it out my pocket. te other half fluttered away but I have the half with the Serial # and the line you can see if you hold it up to the light.

Put it together where the rip is and tape it back up. Only of serial numbers match tho.

as long as you have the serial # you can take it to the bank and get your new $50.00

If it is ripped exactly in half no. You need to have a little more than half of the bill to get it replaced. If you only had an exact half or less more dishonest people would swap two halves of a fifty at two different banks and make a whopping profit!

Good point lol.. But only one half has the authentication line you see in the line so it doesn't matter if I still have it?
