Boyfriend ignoring me at school but talks sweetly online?

The guy I've liked for 2 years said he liked me, so now we're secretly together (only a few of my friends know) and our first official date (with a promised kiss :D) is next weekend, but we never talk at school, EVER! We talk and do all the <3 and everything, and he does like me, but this is the first time for both of us, and neither of us are confident in person. Once my two friend bought it up at school and it was so awkward it was painful! Neither of us looked at each other or talked in the whole conversation, but I guess we never do. I don't want our date to be like that (and all of our friends will be there) so please please help!

First, I tend to think that it is not right for your boyfriend to ignore you in school and talk sweetly online. This can only mean that he is ashamed of your either your relationship or you. Either way, once you go for the date, try majoring on general topics like school and overall behavior.

He's trying to avoid all the DRAMA that comes with romance at school.
Can you give him credit for focusing on academics while at school & paying attention to you after school?

Ehhh, I don't like the ignoring thing either. Have a conversation with him. Having a girlfriend and seeing you everyday should make him happy-looking forward to see you everyday.
