If you don't really want one, you'll never be good enough to get one. That's just how it goes.

Listen to mom and get the scholarship because you can major in any field of studies. Volleyball just pays the bills!

Save the money by attending a good junior college through your general education requirements and strive for really good grades. Then see if you can get an academic scholarship!

You have to tell her. If you don't want to play volleyball all throughout college, then you have to speak up. The only reason your mom wants to get you a scholarship is because it'll help pay for your college tuition. But I bet she hasn't considered that you don't want to play volleyball. It's your future, so you're the one who gets to decide.

Don't go for something you don't want, because you'll never be fully happy with it. Tell your mother truthfully what you think and how you feel about it. It doesn't matter if you get paid a lot of money, as long as you're not doing something you want to be doing.

Tell her how it is she has to respect your opinion. If u are good enough to get a scholarship though, I would say go for it. I will be paying off student loans for a long time.

Tell her as a mom she should understand Its your life choice and she should support you no matter what.
