When I'm typing an answer or a question, why does Ask say I spelled "buy" wrong and suggests I spell "by"?

The spell check could be misinterpreting context, or mayhaps it's just silly. :) It's only there as a guideline, and if the 'misspelled' word is in the proper context you're okay :)

it's a very basic spell check program. It's not sophisticated enough to scan for context...if it could, then half the "there, their and they'res" would be eliminated. Along with allowed/aloud and lose/loose....I'll be here all night....you get it.
